My father was in the U.S. Air Force and we lived in Vicenza Italy which was about 40 miles or so from Venice. We went there quite often. At the time I was really too young to appreciate all that I saw and experienced. I used to take for granted where I was at. The only thing I was ever interested in was riding the aqua taxi and where I could get my next scoop of gelato.
